  • Employee Recruitment and Onboarding: Overseeing the recruitment process, conducting interviews, and ensuring new employees have a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Employee Development and Training: Identifying skills gaps, creating training programs, and facilitating professional development opportunities to enhance employees’ skills and potential.
  • Performance Management: Developing and implementing performance management systems, conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and coaching employees to improve their performance.

  • Culture Building: Cultivating a positive company culture, promoting values and beliefs that align with the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Leadership Development: Identifying potential leaders within the organization, providing coaching and mentoring opportunities, and developing succession plans.
  • Legal Compliance: Staying updated on employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all HR practices, and addressing any legal issues that may arise.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Analyzing HR data and generating reports to measure key performance indicators, providing insights for decision-making.
  • Workplace Health and Safety: Working with the McKay H&S team to promote a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and implementing measures to prevent injury or illness.
  • Team Building and Employee Recognition: Organizing team-building activities and employee recognition programs to foster a positive work culture and boost morale.


Starting with his first role in the British Army, Stuart gained invaluable experience in this field of people and culture, mastering skills in effective leadership, teamwork, and people management within a high-pressure and disciplined environment. Seeking new opportunities, Stuart transitioned into the financial services sector after his time in the army, where he broadened his knowledge of business operations and financial management.

Having worked in a variety of roles and sectors, including oil and gas, the public sector, and the health sector, accumulating a wealth of experience and expertise in different environments, Stuarts diverse background equipped him with a well-rounded skill set and a comprehensive understanding of people and culture practices across various industries.
